Eritrean Airlines Reviews
Eritrean Airlines was founded in May 1991, and started as a ground handling air service at Asmara International Airport. They are actually owned by the government of Eritrea. Though they were established in 1991, the airline started operations in 2002. Now, Eritrean Airlines has 2 aircraft on their fleet (both Boeing) and serves 5 destinations to Egypt, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and United Arab Emirates.
Though, in 2012, the European Commission had banned the flag carrier of Eritrea from catering services within Europe. Eritrean Airlines didn’t meet the requirements of the European Union safety standards. This was changed, and in 2014, the airline fulfilled the requirements of international safety oversight standards.
Eritrean Airlines Inflight
To be honest, their official site doesn’t give much away about the inflight experience and service Eritrean Airlines provides. However, the airline guarantees that passengers receive the best customer service they could provide. Their friendly and professional crew serve customers with meal choices that surely make someone’s flight better. How? Eritrean Airlines pampers its customers with the best native cuisines and drinks. They also keep their passengers entertained with a seatback AVOD stocked with a variety of music and TV shows.
Eritrean Airlines doesn’t have a nice interface for their official site. This is one of the reasons why it is hard to see how reliable the airline is. Not like other airlines low-cost or regional, their web page doesn’t even look modernized. It also wasn’t easy to navigate. The language can’t even be changed. The airline actually known to be the gateway of Africa happens to be unprogressive. The page mainly promotes Eritrean tourism. To know more about Eritrean Airlines, their Facebook account is an option too.
Eritrean Airlines Reviews of Travellers
We looked for several Eritrean Airlines reviews online. On Skytrax, there were actually six, but they were pretty much unreliable. Those reviews we found with an overall rating of 6/10 are dated back to 2012. We tried checking on TripAdvisor for forums about Eritrean Airlines, but we failed as well. What we actually noticed was that all the Eritrean Airlines reviews we read are dated back to 2012. Did they stop after 2012? We got it: Eritrean Airlines is not a major airline or a popular one. But, definitely, Eritrean Airlines’ reputation is still unknown.

I feel complete, now that I was able to write an actual review about Eritrean Airlines. Believe me, if you’ll try to search or Google Eritrean Airlines reviews now, there will be none like this. This is one of the reasons why we love to write reviews of anything travel-related. We sincerely want others to be aware of what they are up to. So, if you want an African air carrier, we’ll be honest. We suggest you book with Ethiopian Airlines next to Eritrean Airlines.
