SalamAir Reviews 2017

SalamAir traces its roots to the invitation for bids made by Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) in 2015 to have a low-cost commercial airline in the country. The Muscat-based airline is owned by the Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS).

SalamAir Reviews 2017 CEO

SalamAir CEO François Bouteiller

SalamAir has its headquarters in Muscat, Oman where the airline mainly operates from their base at Muscat International Airport. The Omani airline’s maiden flight was between two cities in Oman: Muscat and Salalah, and on February 28, 2017 they marked their first international service: the Muscat-Dubai route.

François Bouteiller is SalamAir’s CEO. Bouteiller was previously chief executive of flynas and had been appointed as SalamAir’s CEO in 2016.

As of April 2017, SalamAir’s fleet is composed of 3 Airbus A320-200 flying to a number of destinations within the region: Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. Reviews/What Users Have to Say

Unfortunately, there are little to no SalamAir reviews online from which to base our opinion on. In this case, we will rely on the general appearance of their official website to come up with our own SalamAir reviews.

However, SalamAir made the news with a report that they will operate twelve Airbus A320 narrow body jets by 2020, adding to the three leased from Chile’s LATAM Airlines. Also, SalamAir will launch five new routes from May to Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Sialkot, Karachi, and Multan in Pakistan; and to Dhaka in Bangladesh.

Concluding Words About the Airline

SalamAir Reviews 2017 brand iconSalamAir is new but their offers display the expertise of their service. As a low-cost airline in Oman, they’re becoming one of the region’s alternatives for travel and a way to enhance the growing tourism in Oman. I would recommend SalamAir to people interested in budget travel in the region.
